Antique, collectors item, vegetable dyes, the black knots are oxidized, the warp and the weft threads are 100% wool, the knots are hand spun wool, certain places the pile is slightly short and the selvages have minor problems, the background color is warm rust, the surrounded large border is ivory, the center eagle is typical Chelaberd design, soft as an handkerchief and in its original shape.
A similar example was published in the catalog of “Kaukasische Teppichkunst im 19. Jahrhundert” by E. Herrmann on page 66.
