The general terms and conditions apply to all legal transactions made via online shop of
www.madayancarpets.com.
1. Shipping & Delivery We deliver worldwide. Standard shipping rates are as follows:
- Switzerland: Free of charge
- Europe: CHF 100.–
- USA: CHF 200.– (Subject to the US Shipping policy below)
- Asia: CHF 250.–
- Africa: CHF 250.–
- Australia: CHF 300.–
Note: All prices are in CHF. For an exact shipping quote based on the specific weight of your order, please contact us directly.
For Shipments to the United States Only: Shipping rates to the United States displayed at checkout are estimates and subject to change, as Swiss Post may restrict certain shipping services due to regulatory or tariff-related limitations. If the actual shipping cost differs from the estimate, the buyer will be notified. If the actual cost is lower than the amount charged, Madayancarpets will refund the difference. If the actual cost is higher, the buyer may either pay the additional fee to proceed with the order or cancel it for a full refund. Madayancarpets reserves the right to cancel the order and issue a full refund if the buyer declines to pay the additional shipping costs.
Delivery Terms:
- Shipments are processed only after full payment is received.
- Estimated delivery time is 6 to 8 working days.
- Orders up to 30 kg are shipped via Swiss Post, and a tracking number will be sent to the customer by email.
- If delivery becomes impossible, Madayancarpets will refund the customer within 30 days.
- Madayancarpets is not liable for packages lost or damaged during transport. Customers may opt to purchase shipping insurance at their own expense.
2. Prices and Taxes (VAT)
- Within Switzerland: Customers are subject to the standard Swiss VAT of 8.1%.
- International Customers: International orders are exempt from Swiss VAT. However, international buyers are solely responsible for any local customs duties, taxes, or import fees applicable in their destination country.
- Madayancarpets reserves the right to modify the prices displayed on the website at any time without prior notice.
3. Payment Methods
- Orders up to CHF 2’000.- : Payment can be made via Credit Card or Bank Transfer. If the customer chooses to pay via Bank Transfer, a 2% discount will be applied to the order.
- Orders exceeding CHF 2’000.- : Payment is strictly limited to Bank Transfer only. Please note that the 2% discount does not apply to orders over CHF 2’000.-
- All orders must be paid in full before shipment.
4. Exchange Policy & Product Appearance
- The actual color of the carpet may vary slightly from the photographs displayed on the website.
- Customers have the right to exchange their carpet within a three-month period from the date of purchase. The exchange value will be equal to the original purchase value.
- Exchanges are only accepted if the carpet is returned in its original, unaltered condition.
- The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs.
5. Amendments and Jurisdiction
- Madayancarpets reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time.
- Any dispute arising between a customer and Madayancarpets shall be governed exclusively by Swiss law.
