Antique, collectors item, vegetable dyes, the black knots are oxidized. The knots, the warp and the weft threads are 100% lamb wool. The background is indigo and designed with three turtles, the selvages are woven on two lines with wool, both edges are finished with 3 cm kilim, the surrounded large border is ivory, thick pile, in perfect condition, soft as a handkerchief, in its original shape and high standard quality.
A similar example was published in the catalog of “Caucasian Carpets” by Ulrich Schurman on page 57.
