Antique, collectors item, double prayer design, vegetable dyes. The knots, the warp and the weft threads are hand spun lamb wool. The black knots are oxidized, the background color is sky blue, the surrounded large border is ivory, both edges are woven with 4 cm kilim, the selvages are woven on two lines with wool, the white medallion has an old repair 6 x 7 cm, high pile, soft as a handkerchief, high standard quality, in its original shape, rare example in its category.
Private collection.
This example is considered as a solid investment.
A similar example was published in 1971 in the catalog of “Orient-.Teppiche” by Stefan A, Milhofer on page 28.
