Dated 1940, collectors item with Georgian inscriptions, vegetable dyes, the black knots are oxidized, the knots are hand spun lamb wool, the warp and the weft threads are 100% wool, the shirazi borders are woven on two lines, the edges are finished with 3 cm kelim, high pile, in good condition, soft as a handkerchief, high standard quality and in its original shape.
A similar example was published in the catalog “Orientteppiche Kaukasische Teppiche ” 1979, by Doris Eder on page 264, plate 270.
