This particular piece was made as an example by Mahal weavers to show to Ziegler company located in Manchester, their quality and to start a long term business. Antique. Collector’s item, very finely knotted, rare subject, unique example, double prayer design, high standard carpet, high pile, in excellent condition, vegetable dyes, the black knots are oxidized, the knots are hand spun lamb wool, both edges are finished with tiny kilim, the shirazi borders are rolled on one line, soft as an handkerchief, in its original shape.
Private collection.
It is considered as a solid investment.
