The knots are hand spun wool, the background color is tomato red, the surrounding large border is indigo, vegetable dyes, the black knots are oxidized, thick pile, in perfect condition.
A similar example was published in the catalogue of “Orientteppiche” by Erich Aschenbrenner, printed in 1981 in Munich, on page 180, ill. 83.
