The knots are hand spun wool, thick pile, finely knotted, the background color is red, the center medallion and the surrounding border are indigo, the four corners are ivory, in good condition. A similar example was published in the catalog of ” Der Künpft Teppich” by Helmut Russ, printed in 1983 in Herford Germany on the page 40.
