Magnificent antique hand-painted Russian icon depicting the Heavenly Host led by an archangel in armor, surrounded by other archangels and celestial figures with Cyrillic inscriptions. At the top, a depiction of Christ or the Creator amidst the clouds. Rich details, traditional iconography, and warm earthy tones with gilt highlights. Hand-painted on a traditional wood panel, in good condition.
