Antique, collectors item, vegetable dyes, the black knots are oxidized, the knots are hand spun lamb wool, high pile, at the border an old repair made very nicely hard to see it. A classical Kashan-Mohtashem design, indigo background, finely knotted, soft, high standard quality and in its original shape.
It is a pair, the second is K-116.
Private collection.
This example is considered as a solid investment.
A similar example was published in the catalog of ” Orientteppiche ” by Erich Aschenbrenner, printed in 1981 in Munich, on page 195, ill. 99.
