Antique, collectors item, vegetable dyes, the red color is extracted from the cochineal, the black knots are oxidized. The knots, the warp and the weft threads are hand spun lamb wool, the background color is indigo, allover geometric design, the surrounded large border is ivory, at the background a small part is slightly short, finely knotted, in its original shape, rare example.
A similar example was published in the catalog of Orientteppiche by Doris Edler on page 189.
