Antique, collectors item, vegetable dyes, the red color is extracted from the cochineal, the warp and the weft threads are 100% wool, the black knots are oxidized, high pile, in good condition, the two last tiny edges are repaired, the selvages are woven on two lines, very finely knotted, the knots are hand spun lamb wool, the background is covered with soft yellow by a finely outlined trellis pattern, the four corners are indigo, the center medallion is indigo with sky blue and cochineal red, the surrounded large border is purple, soft as a handkerchief, high standard quality, rare example.
