Antique, collectors item, vegetable dyes, the black knots are oxidized, the knots are hand spun lamb wool, the warp and the weft threads are 100% wool, the selvages are woven on two lines, the background color is indigo, the large border is ivory, high pile, in good condition, with six medallions, very finely knotted, soft as a handkerchief, high standard quality and in its original shape.
A similar example was published in 1971 in the catalog of “Orient-.Teppiche” by Stefan A, Milhofer on page 41.
