Antique, collectors item, vegetable dyes, the black knots are oxidized, the warp and the weft threads are 100% wool, the knots are hand spun wool, the shirazi borders are woven on two lines, both edges are finished with tiny kelim, the surrounded large border is soft green, the background is purple, thick pile, in good condition, at the center a tiny hole which is already repaired, soft as an handkerchief and high standard quality.
A similar example was published in the catalog of ” Caucasian Rugs “, by Ulrich Schurmann on page 123, plate 33.
