Dated 1950 with Armenian inscriptions N.A.j.1950.T. Collectors item, vegetable dyes, the black knots are oxidized, the warp and the weft threads are 100% wool, the knots are hand spun lamb wool, the shirazi borders are woven on two lines, both edges are finished with tiny kilim, high pile, in perfect condition, soft as a handkerchief, high standard quality and in its original shape.
A similar example was published in 2002 in the catalog of “Passages Armenian Rugs” by Murray L. & Eiland, Jr. on page 58, ill. 23.
