Antique, collectors item, vegetable dyes, the black knots are oxidized. The knots, the warp and the weft threads are hand spun lamb wool. The background color is sky blue, with six medallions, the surrounded large border is sky blue with Akstafa design, the selvages are woven on three lines with wool, minor places at the border to be repaired, thick pile, soft as a handkerchief, high standard quality and in its original shape.
A similar example was published in the catalog of “Teppich Atlas Turkei-Kaukasus”by S.A. Milhofer on page 111.
