Antique, collectors item, the brown knots are oxidized, vegetable dyes, the knots are hand spun lamb wool, both edges are finished with 2 cm kilim, the background color is rust, the surrounded large border is indigo, the medallions are indigo, sky blue and yellow, the design has European influence like French Savonneries, probably knotted by Armenian immigrants, high pile, in perfect condition, soft and silky wool, finely knotted, rare example, high standard quality and in its original shape.
A similar example was published in the catalog of ” Enzyklopädie des Orientteppichs” by J.Iten-Maritz on page 243.
