Vegetable dyes, with Armenian inscriptions A.N.K., the black knots are oxidized, the knots are hand spun lamb wool, the warp and the weft threads are 100% wool, both edges are finished with tiny kilim, the shirazi borders are woven on two lines, high pile, in perfect condition, soft as a handkerchief, high standard quality and in its original shape.
A similar example was published in 2002 in the catalog of “PASSAGES Armenian Rugs” by Murray L.& Eiland, Jr. on page 58, ill. 23.
